Time Delay

Off to a customer’s tomorrow and I’ll get an earfull over how long it’s taken (since September) to get the part repaired. However aside from pointing out their delay in the go ahead, I’ll be asking for order numbers for work already done and pointing out the long delay that they have in paying (big company so they pay, just on their schedule) on top of they haven’t provided the order numbers yet from then.

Bastards. Take The Enforcers with you.

Tell them you have two wives and ten hungry kids to feed, so pay up.

Hmm-that long lag in payment sounds like a certain equipment company here that shall remain nameless (hint: the company name rhymes with ‘Raterpillar’). But don’t be late when THEY need something-they get all pissy about it.

    Good luck there-don’t envy you!

Working for a big company, I am not sure why it takes us so long to pay. I know with some things I get all the info ready in plenty of time, stress it has to be paid promptly then there is still a delay.

Makes it hard when you build a relationship with a contractor, they look after you and then you screw ’em by slow paying or making them chase you for payment.

lots of places now have 30-60 day delays on payment. Last company i worked at tried to get away with that and Aus Post just stopped the account!!

It’s one the old tricks (now with a new twist), EFT what you owe I’ll check it and then I’ll come out. Sure beats have a cheque waiting for me.
