Cool, now if you could just convince Dr Yobbo that RRR is a better station than JJJ the world would be just about perfect.

Naut if I went into the conversion business it’d be by the sword and no one would want that now would they? The Doc is a smart bloke he’ll wake up eventually, I did and I was a staunch MMM listener for many years.

Naut, I’m sure there’s a radio station in Winnipeg or Birmingham or Outer Farknowsville which is better than Triple J. I just don’t listen to small-town regional radio stations.

Figured it out. Just take out one of the HTTP’s. Shame about the news though. Fairly surprised it isn’t zooming ahead with some of the applications. The area denial seems like a fairly viable tech to me. Same as the 3GL. But, there ya go.

Got bad news-EVERY radio station in Australia is a small-town regional radio station. I do live a short drive from a metropolitan area (Chicago-Milwaukee) of about 7 million, after all…

Doesn’t mean the radio is any better, though. Some of the programs come from little rinky-dink locally-owned stations, or even (gasp) Public Radio!

Well RRR is community radio, I guess it depends on how you define “community”;)

YDog, one of my complaints is American cities with the population of Australia get by with a Mayor (or states with a Governor) and we have two houses of Pollies for most states (don’t start me on NT governance if it’s overseen by Canberra how much do they need?). You can at least can judge RRR for yourself as they broad cast online, just check the schedule to find something you’ll like 😉

Bad news YD – Triple J’s terrestrial audience is 21 million. National broadcaster.
