Backfoot

Pretty much just got in, had a wash up a drink and a quick wander around the net. I had two call outs to the same place and same machine and different problems … and it’s still not running … well electrically it runs, mechanically you can rock the flywheel about five degrees.  So I’ll be starting the week off on the backfoot, I normally have a job or two set for the week and breakdowns fill in the days. At the moment I have four jobs to be done two by Monday, one by Tuesday the other was meant to be done last week. At least I’m not bored.

Sounds like if you get it all done you will be able to take the rest of the week off!

Feeling your pain, brother. I worked both days this weekend to get a big pile of stuff out to the floor. Pays good but the hours suck.

Naut, people keep breaking stuff for me to fix.

YDog, it’s hard to get the balance right too much work and no time to enjoy the fruits of your labour, or too much time and a lack of readies to fill it with.

Barnes, thankfully most jobs are only an hour or so (plus travel) except today one job (OK one location, six faults, four printing presses) was all day.

Take my word for it, boredom is not as bad as it sounds. Time just crawls by, which I believe extends the lifespan of the person who is bored.

PNB, bored people live just as long as any one else, it just seem longer.
