Well they’ve arrived.

The thicker two need rubber stops, but they fill the hand nicely. The Cold Steel City the shorter, thinner and shinier one I think will be the favourite. It has a lot more heft than the Cold Steel Slim stick. Also those two have rubber stops, they make a world of difference. So long as the gout holds off I don’t know how much use they’ll see but if I need a walking stick I’m spoiled for choice!

Dang! The local Indian tribe here, the Sauk and Fox, used a war club that looked a lot like that stick on the left-but shorter.

You can claim it’s a medical aid and necessary for your mobility. Should get around the weapon ban.

Barnes, weapon what weapon? If I wanted a weapon I’d have a sword cane! Definitely a weapon and prohibited.

YDog it’s a replica Blackthorn Irish walking stick, polypropylene. Gout is a bugger of a thing,it can and has come on just like that.

Gout? The disease of royalty. And royalty are welcome to it. Very painful, I’m told. Good luck w/ it.
